Welcome to your caster specialist!

GROSS+FROELICH is internationally known as a specialist for chair and furniture casters and glides. Our products are distributed worldwide under the GROSS STABIL brand. Our customers appreciate the design of our products, highest product quality and our sustainable solutions - combined with quick delivery times and a very helpful and accommodating customer service. GROSS+FROELICH has also positioned itself in the market with numerous patents and design awards, especially for the MOVE product family.

The company is headquartered in Weil der Stadt, in southwest Germany. Not only development and sales is located here, but also the complete production. This is true Made-in-Germany quality in practice and also a significant advantage over our competitors.

Despite all innovation, tradition is a top priority at GROSS+FROELICH: the company was founded in 1879 in Stuttgart as a cast iron foundry. In 1960, we added a plastic injection molding production for casters, and shortly thereafter the product portfolio was expanded to include chrome-plated ball and furniture casters. We continue to be a family owned business, currently managed by the 5th generation.

Customers in North America are served by our sales team at GROSS STABIL CORPORATION. Here our headquarters is in Coldwater, Michigan, close to a lot of the major office furniture manufacturers.

Environment & Sustainability

Our products are integrated into the design of our customers’ products -  often over a long period of time. While an honor, this also poses us with a challenge, but plastic and sustainability do not have to be opposites! Our engineering enables the lowest possible material volume and its high quality and durability are more than convincing.

Quality

Our integrated management system is certified according to the international standards DIN EN ISO 9001 (quality), 14001 (environmental) and 50001 (energy management). This is a given for us and we take great pride in our quality. Protecting our customers is as much a concern as it is an obligation for us – therefore we only use materials regulated via REACH or RoHS, for example.
